It’s time for a second Someone’s old, my new -post. The first post you can find here. This time, I’m going to tell you about my grandma’s old flower shirt. It’s not a new second hand found, I have had it already several years. I don’t remember exactly when, but I would guess that it was about 7 to 8 years ago when I found this from my grandma’s pile going to a flea market.
My grandma had done an inventory in her wardrobe, and I got to go through her stuff before she would take them to the local secondhand store. I found this one, and after I have found it again and again.
I haven’t used it all the time, but haven’t wanted to give it away either. When I moved to Sweden 3,5 years ago, I left this one to Finland. When visiting my family, I used it sometimes in there. However, last summer I brought the shirt with me to Sweden. At the moment, this is one of my favourites. It’s easy to combine and works both in everyday and party looks.
I have a few pieces that I want to keep even though I don’t wear them all the time. Wearing those pieces goes like in waves. Sometimes I wear them a lot, and sometimes I let them rest. This shirt is one of them, and I’m sure I’m going to keep it for good. It’s still in a faultless condition, it’s timeless, and in addition, it has a big emotional value for me.
PS. The pants seen in the pictures are also second hand from a friend.
